Reclaimed fabric, found objects, driftwood, waste materials, felt, jute, unprocessed sheep wool, found animal bones, iron waste, glue, rope.

This project explores a reinterpretation of the Latin cross and its geography — Golgotha. The cruciform shape remains as a frame through which exposure, endurance and dehumanization are articulated. Golgotha resonates with modern hospitals, where the hospital bed becomes a contemporary Golgotha — a space of radical vulnerability and institutional violence.

Within the project, some works engage with the idea of the lignum crucis understood not as belief, but as a historical gesture: the act of gathering fragments of wood. The cruciform series made of driftwood functions as a relic in its etymological sense: what remains. Shaped by external forces and prolonged exposure, the material bears traces of wear as a form of transformation.

This body of work unsettles the historical orientation of the cruciform plan, at times keeping it horizontal, upside down or in rotation. Made from weathered materials, the works speak of survival rather than transcendence.
